I think it wasn’t a lost cause entirely. Certainly a learning curve provided for parents and caregivers of their young man demographic by a well-known and trusted key figure like Louis. I know a lot of parents (mainly mothers) are seeking answers whether their kids are watching these people. This wasn’t about cancelling (cancel culture doesn’t solve social problems) this was about education for the next generation’s caregivers

I agree but I think you need to familiarize yourself more with Louis Theroux! I think the issue here is the Netflixization of the documentary which has really changed the context and taken away from what I think Theroux probably intended.

I’m think you misunderstood the purpose of and audience for the documentary. Which is fine. Huge swaths of the older generations have no idea this world exists and Louis exposes that world to them. Other documentaries can be made for different audiences or purposes. There certainly no shortage of perspectives to take.
