@thenettylife: The London Mavericks have made headlines in the UK after introducing their ‘choice kit’ which gives players the option between a dress, shorts or long tights to wear in the Netball Super League. Is it the right time for the change in team uniform? Or to Kelly Walker’s point, should this be something that’s just introduced at the grassroots and pathway levels? 🎧 Hear the full chat on The Netty Life via Spotify or Apple Podcasts. 📸: NSL / London Mavericks / Kirsty Catherell Photography #NSL2026 #NSL #NetballSuperLeague #LondonMavericks #netball
Great concept for grassroots but from a professional league standpoint it looks terrible.

I think it’s hard on the eyes because not everyone is matching on court. I think it would perhaps look more professional if everyone was wearing the same

I think it’s great to be able to see people at that level and role model have more of a choice around what they wear especially for young girls who maybe feel pushed out of a sport due to kit especially netball dresses, hopefully a way to be more inclusive and comfortable at grassroots level by having the visual representation at elite level

I think Ella Clark on L.Lightning has worn the best and skort, couldn't tell it apart from the dress without zooming in - was either super cup or first game of the season - either way, I think if they make the shorts match the top, it'd have less flack from spectators
