hey, sorry if this comes off as rude, I promise I'm not 😭, but why are you holding the brush like that? I see a lot of artists do this and it kind of confuses me because I feel like it would make your movements less precise and more messy.

Reminds me of editing photos and how adding filters will change the photo.
Underpainting is like adding a filter immediately and the highlight and shadows are like added contrast.

yes its all down to how you learn or train and your way off painting for me it's a waste as I can't paint that way. it's like using grids to me that's maths my brain don't do it lol 🥰❤️
