I have heard that Encounter and Adventure are both very sub par. I have heard much better things about Luminosa and Splendor

I have been on 3 carnival, and other cruise lines. I am honestly just happy to be on a cruise ship. 🛳️I think people get on carnival or don’t with their minds already made up in my opinion. A cruise is what you make of it. You can make yourself miserable or relax and enjoy. I love cruises no matter what ship I’m on.

I have been on spirt on 2017 l don’t remember much as l was 2 years old l have been on splendor in 2023 l recently went on Royal Caribbean voyager of the seas that was my favourite the ice skating shows are the best Hope this helps❤️

We did a 4 night one on the Encounter and I agree the food isn’t great, buffet smallest of all cruises I’ve been on.

I have only ever sailed Carnival Splendor and hear the same regarding the food etc. i have nothing to compare it. But for right now carnival suits myself and family and budget. You gotta remember Royal comes with a high price point so i would expect it all to be a higher standard. I am not a high maintenance person tho (not saying you are) everyones needs and wants are different. I love the fact i dont have to cook or clean so thats a holiday to me. One day will go on Royal but the price point right now with the family isnt for us!

On encounter as well. Will be my first and last Carnival cruise. Limited entertainment compared to RC, endless days of trivia and karaoke, food just ok. Staff are great tho.
