For those wondering how this is better than Tom: you could argue that tom had several advantages; prior history, the GG had already blown up the bridge then Norman shows up with his aunt so he already knows Norman has personality problems. Two the situation knowing all of these people are villains and inherently evil. Andrew on the other hand was able to sense danger from a blocks away and had 0 prior knowledge of max.
