Shaming on people that might have issues that causes them to eat more than usual is not a kind thing to do

I agree however in rare cases (mine for example) eat healthy and exercise but due to medical reasons gain weight and can’t lose it or struggle to

I mean, kinda, but I very much understand why now... I went on a glp-1 a year ago and discovered that I had never in my life FELT FULL. I had never EVER felt satisfied by ANY QUANTITY of food, like i now feel on the GLP1! There is now a point in each meal/snack that i can very clearly feel that says "oh im not hungry anymore." You know when people say at thanksgiving, "i couldnt possibly eat another bite"? I genuinely thought that was said in jest, bc i could ALWAYS eat another bite! What i previously thought was me "feeling full" was actually the PAIN I get from not avoiding my mild food intolerances... meaning to say, if you had never in your life felt full or satisfied, wouldn't you always be searching for that feeling, too? It takes MUCH more willpower for some than others & i recognize now how fortunate it is that I have always eaten decently well & was "only" 30lbs overweight.

I was obese. My medication (Quetiapine) states that weight gain is likely. I went from a UK size 12 to a UK size 22. I allowed it though. It genuinely did make me crave ‘bad’ food but I could’ve resisted and chose not to.

I am a fan of your content but I will say that overcoming a food addiction isn’t as easy as just quitting cold turkey. It takes a lot of time, hard work, and dedication. You will have slip ups, you will feel defeated, you will want to quit. Being addicted to food is no different than any other type of addiction, sometimes you need professional help or tools like a GLP 1 to ensure you can be successful. Not everyone has been educated on proper nutrition or the importance of it. I’ve lost 100 pounds naturally, but it’s been a learning curve.

i think the ONLY acception is because of thyroid diseases. my personal example is that my mom had hyperthyroidism, or an overactive thyroid, and even though she ate a ton she ended up being only 90 pounds due to her thyroid. the same can happen with hypothyroidism, or an under active thyroid, just weight gain.

I thought this was my problem. Turns out I was so afraid of eating too much that I was only eating like 1k calories/day and that's why I couldn't build any muscle 🤪

After 44 years I finally learned how to use food for fuel. Sometimes its not about self control it's about not knowing how to use food for health.
