Russian was my first language but I don’t speak it nearly as much anymore but something about being told I love you in Russian just hits a bit different than in English. It feels a little more special

God. I wish the USA spent more time encouraging teaching and learning other languages. I grew up in rural Midwest and had a really terrible teacher for Spanish. My kids school starts Spanish in kindergarten and i am SO grateful they have a head start in it. 💕
