Ten years I’ve waited. Watched friends fall in love, get married, buy a house, have kids. I saw all of that hoping, dreaming, wondering, will I ever be that lucky? I had almost given up…..Then one day I got a message, from this girl, from another state, and you know what? We fell in love. We talked every night, we would drive halfway to meet one another in a different state every weekend. I would always bring her a hand written letter and flowers. I never missed a weekend with her. She showed me the letters one day. A whole box filled to the top! I couldn’t believe how much I wrote about her, how much she truly means to me! A year went by, now we live together in the same state, see her every week and not just on the weekends. I never thought I would find my happiness, that was until I found her. She will always be my love, my happiness, my beating heart. She doesn’t need to be all of this and that because what she is right now will always be more then enough for me. She stole my heart, locked it and threw away the key and I couldn’t be any happier. I hope one day I can make her my best friend forever🧡
