"Number 1" is meaningless. Especially on Netflix. Notice how every new Netflix production is always Number 1? How do they calculate that? Could it possibly be influenced by how when you open Netflix, you have to scroll past it 6 times to see anything else? Could the fact that the trailer starts auto-playing on every page be muddling the numbers a little?

Turned the movie off after 20 minutes. I'm not good at analyzing movies but War Machine couldn't catch my attention or interest. It felt nothing like a military scifi war movie.

I'm convinced the rankings on Netflix are not based on user preferences but simply selected by Netflix to push certain movies. same for other streaming platforms. I want it exposed so badly.

Thought of you this weekend. Wasted my time on Agnes (2021), “horror” film ranked high on Netflix. I had low expectations, but it was awful. It made me so mad halfway through I forced myself to finish. AWFUL
