That actually makes a lot of sense. We become scent blind easily. It only takes about 15 minutes for it to start so after 6 months fresh air had to be absolutely foul. Especially the sea.

That was a base line description of PTSD… year long deployments are one thing… but a 6-month submerged deployment? 😮💨 That sounds crazy and indeed it is. The physical and mental toll I can’t imagine.
