The caramel contained in coca zero and coca plus is produced by burning the sugar with sulfuric acid E150d (Sulfite-Ammonia Caramel). In this way they can write “without sugar” despite having entered large quantities. The difference in aroma is mainly due to the Indigestible Dextrin (Fibers): The distinctive ingredient of this plus is the addition of about 5 grams of dietary fiber per bottle (470 ml). These fibers are used to reduce fat absorption and moderate blood glucose levels after meals (temporarily cementing the appropriate receptors in the intestinal villi). Another consistent variation in flavor should be due to sweeteners in different fractions: Being a zero-calorie drink, it uses a mix of artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, acesulfame K and sucralose. We should look at the labels in comparison to understand the percentage differences of the ingredients. However, to say that “do well” is clearly a statement that is not suitable for the product.
