Go to the lowest level of your home and get low. The idea is to be small and out of the way of flying things that may be thrown through windows. I don’t have a basement either so I go into the bathroom. I bring lots of blankets and would get into the bathtub (surrounded on most sides and connected to the ground by pipes) sending love🫶🏼

We would always stand on the screen porch and look for it. Never actually saw one, but if I did I wound run to the basement or a small bathroom.

Get into the center of the house if possible. Closet, bathroom, etc. If you are able to, bathtub with a mattress on top is your best bet. Have a helmet and shoes nearby. Don’t sleep naked!! 😂 Also, make sure everything is charged up and have flashlights on hand. And download a weather app!

interior wall and no windows if possible and make yourself a little comfy nest with a lantern and your phone and charger. you also need a good local weather storm alert app for your location to notify you of all updates. good luck 👍 ❤️
