Best way to make money with cattle is farm for a living Monday thru Friday pay your bills on the weekend and classify it as a hobby that way you only loose money on your hobby

I mean it’s kinda subjective lol, I make money on my cows technically but all that money goes back into building my operation (fencing, equipment, buildings, etc)

75k of overhead every year. Fertilizer was high this year so probably more like 80k in over head. We crop as well and raise cattle. Currently around 98 head. We are close to that after overhead but honestly we need to keep growing because we like more than just the overhead in the bank. We don’t do debt and in exchange don’t even pay ourselves minimum wage. Someday soon.
