Meet Karvouna Greek Street Food 🇬🇷🔥 Owner Maki is from Monemvasia, Greece, where he grew up working in souvlaki shops with his dad. Hospitality and charcoal grilling are second nature to him, and his goal with Karvouna was simple. Fill the street with the smell of charcoal so when people walk past they instantly know what they’re craving. Expect classic Greek street food done properly: • Charcoal grilled gyros and souvlaki wraps • Lamb, chicken and mixed gyros • Pork and chicken skewers • Traditional biftekia • Greek loukaniko sausage • Kolokithokeftedes with tzatziki • Fresh Greek village salad • Homemade dips like tzatziki, tirokafteri, melitzanosalata and taramasalata • Saganki • Proper Greek frappé • Homemade desserts They also serve kontosouvli every Friday and Saturday, marinated with herbs and honey and cooked slowly over charcoal. One thing I love about this place is that they’ve made it coeliac friendly. The menu is gluten free with the option to add gluten free pita, plus dedicated cooking equipment so no one misses out.
