For both of my dnd characters I’m playing long term, they’re both pride. My wizard, Hecate, despite being incredibly self loathing, also has that wizards pride and ego. Specifically when it comes to her magic. She’s massively stubborn which can lead to good and bad things. My paladin, Harvey, is a LOT more explicit with the sin of pride though. Also self loathing but how they’re perceived is their top priority, which leads to so many secrets kept that endangers those around them and even endangers themselves. All in the name of being seen as the noble knight they were raised to be

I’ll never be over how good of a question this is to ask characters

I answered for Dante on the YouTube so for Damian his core sin is wrath tempered with lust. as they often go hand in hand

My long-term character: probably greed. His (now) wife was previously immortal and when she was made mortal she was given a human lifespan- he’s a full elf so had roughly 1000 years left. She was going to have probably 70. He would have had to live longer without her than he had with her, but we have since fixed that. I traded a favor with the Raven Queen to extend her life to match his.

Artelia (my shapeshifter monster hunter) lives a great deal in Pride. They have spent their entire life proving themself, because if they are not the best, they are nothing at all. They also embody Wrath, easily irritable, left struggling with their own sense of self (or lack thereof), seen as too uptight, too shut off from their party members. Artelia is an incredibly private person, but at this moment, as somebody who doesn’t understand who — or what — they are, they are simply angry, having been driven from their home into a world they barely knew existed, one they don’t understand any more than they understand themself.

Part of my characters backstory is he used to be part of a smaller party with his childhood friends so here is their answers:
Kai: Gluttony/Pride (wants the most for everyone around him and thinks he's the only one who can provide it)
Perseus: Envy (wants to prove himself higher than his station)
Major: Greed (of knowledge)
Aro: Sloth (not that she doesn’t do a lot, she does, but she isn’t changing things that needs changing)
Kreg: Wrath (spiteful little bastard)

I just played a new character today, and Nyx would for sure live in greed and envy (possibly also pride) she is a rogue and loves picking pockets so obviously envying something and then greed over taking so she takes it. but she prides her ability to shape change (changeling) and so she believes she is an exceptional rogue and the best of the best because of her changing. no one truly knows who she is

‼️SPENCE‼️ :
in my campaign, we closeted the sins to fight smth and my character Azaraph got Greed/Integrity, but he was more virtue than sin.

I think for Zinmaer Storyteller it must be pride: he strives to be the greatest storyteller in the world, wants his name to be known throughout the land, even tries to challenge the gods with his storytelling 🃏❤️

Avira embodies pride so deeply. She never wants to let anyone see her with her walls down.

okay so the next campaign im in actually focuses on this, my main character(we have 2 each) embodies pride... as a cleric. she believes that youre not worthy of healing unless you prove your worth, even if you do your best to prove it, she will just deny you if she doesnt like you because the concept of "giving in" makes her infuriated

my current character Teddy to those who don’t know him they’d say Wrath due to his condition. but he is Envious of the world because destruction fallows his path

So I will do Arkanis the Veiled for this one. He is my Oc from the Warhammer 40k universe a former member of the Thousand Sons but he now leads his own Warp Coven called the Whispering Veil. He either is most embodied by Pride or Greed. Greed because he is constantly hungry for more knowledge and artifacts. Pride because he is very sure of himself and sees himself as above the rest of the Thousand Sons and other Chaos Space Marines

My Dragon Blood Sorcerer Ashara would most likely embody wrath. But they do the best they can to stay happy in most situations.

OKAY THAT'S SO EXCITING FOR ME because I've been assigning the seven deadly sins to each of my characters for a while now. I'm thinking of doing the holy/divine whatever it's called too but yeah anyways. My current PC Mimi is the embodiment of gluttony, but not in the usual foods and drinks way. She's never satisfied with whatever she has and whatever life she's living. My deceased PC Sora was the embodiment of envy - she was very timid and often unsure of herself and her choices, making her envious of just about everyone because she was convinced everyone is better at something or everything than her

Stinaasaurusrex :
My necromancer Xiomara most definitely embodies pride with a sprinkling of greed. She has a deep pride for what she does and what she knows but to a fault where she does truly hold herself above others. Greed; not for money or items but for knowledge, yearning to know more, do more, BE more. She arrives to become one of the Undying - the place she believes she belongs. (Eberron campaign; Aerani elf)

A bit shaky, but Valorean has a tendency to put every failure on himself, and every decision in his control, so maybe pride?

mine is sun greed, moon envy, and rising lust

For my book MC, Ella, she embodies Pride. Shes proud of where she came from, who she is, and how far she’s come. Shes also one of 2 in her friend group who has a strong handle on her supernatural abilities, but she doesn’t hold that above the rest. She openly helps her sister discover and control her abilities.
