It’s anti-inflammatory + gut friendly + slightly tart, slightly sweet. Save this recipe for later. 🪷 ********** Ingredients: - 28g gelatin (7g per 1 cup jamaica tea). I used @Vital Proteins Shop beef gelatin but have used D’Gari @D'Gari® unflavored gelatin packets before. - 1/2 cup cold water - 3.5 oz dried hibiscus flowers to yield 4 cups of agua de jamaica - honey to taste - 1 cinnamon stick - 4 cloves - 2–3 star anise - Presoaked chia seeds *************** Instructions: 1. Start by making your agua de jamaica. Rinse the dried hibiscus flowers. 2. Add hibiscus to a pot of water with: cloves, cinnamon, star anise. 3. Bring to a light simmer to brew. 4. Strain the jamaica and set aside 4 cups while still hot. 5. Optional: add honey to taste. 6. In a separate bowl, mix gelatin with 1/2 cup cold water. 7. Add the gelatin mixture to the warm brewed jamaica and stir until fully dissolved. 8. Once slightly cooled, pour mixture into a glass dish. 9. Add pre-soaked chia seeds and stir to disperse evenly. 10. Optional: place 1 star anise on top. 11. Refrigerate until solid. 12.
