It takes 3 days to settle, 3 weeks to know your schedule, 3 months for them to call your home theirs. Best you can do is be patient. Yes, I am literally on week one with one of mine right now. Heading into two.

We adopted a two year old GSD, when we took her to our vet to get her checked out we discovered she had a severe case of heartworms and it would cost us $3000 to get it taken care of, we only had her for week and were told the other alternative would be to bring her back to the shelter. She's 11 years old now and one of the best things that ever happen to us.
