This corridor is particularly filled with pirates and other groups. When the ship goes dark, interior bridge lighting is cut to near zero so the officer's eyes can adapt to the sea. Navigation runs on gyrocompass, radar, and autopilot, speed locked at 10 knots, heading held by the system, rudder angle monitored degree by degree on glowing red displays.
