@physiotherapist285: The Quadratus Lumborum Muscle is a deep muscle of the lower back that plays an important role in stabilizing the spine and pelvis. It originates from the iliac crest and iliolumbar ligament and inserts into the 12th rib and the transverse processes of the lumbar vertebrae. This muscle helps in lateral flexion (side bending) of the trunk and assists in stabilizing the lumbar spine during movement and posture. The Quadratus Lumborum is also active during breathing by helping to stabilize the 12th rib. Tightness or strain in this muscle can contribute to lower back pain. In this video, we will briefly explain the anatomy, origin, insertion, nerve supply, and function of the Quadratus Lumborum muscle#QuadratusLumborum #QLMuscle #Anatomy #HumanAnatomy #MuscleAnatomy
