Toasted Sugar Banana Bread with Toasted Buttercream (full instructions on my website!) Heat oven to 375°F and line a 9×5 loaf pan. Mash 3 ripe bananas in a bowl. Cook ½ cup sugar + 2 tbsp milk in a pan over medium heat until lightly golden. Quickly stir into the bananas. In the same pan, brown ½ cup butter and mix into the banana mixture. Stir in ¾ cup brown sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 tbsp McCormick Gourmet Madagascar vanilla. Mix in 1½ cups flour, 2½ tsp baking powder, and 1 tsp salt until just combined. Pour into the loaf pan and bake 45–50 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Buttercream Brown 2½ tbsp butter; chill until softened. Heat 1 egg white + ¼ cup sugar over a double boiler to 115°F, then whip to soft peaks. Beat in 2 tbsp powdered sugar, ½ tsp McCormick Gourmet Madagascar vanilla, and ¼ tsp salt, then whip in the softened browned butter until fluffy.
