honestly us being a simulation is the only thing that makes sense. reincarnation, someone just changed characters when their other character died. people who have died and come back, their player had enough money to buy another life. Ghost, players that let their membership expire so their character is just kind of walking around invisible with no purpose

For a smart man, he hasn’t thought it through. He is assuming that any layer makes only one simulation. There could be trillions of “leaf” layer sims, on any sim layer.

Why does he assume that all simulations would be able to build realistic simulations? They could program their simulations to not be able to. Also, we could be in a simulation that will be able to make a realistic simulation but we’re not at that point in the timeline. That could be 500 years from now. Why does he act like his point can’t be countered?

Why? What motivation to simulate a whole world? Why not just the essential parts? What for jupiter and neptun and a huge sun? And why not a nice friendly world?

Okay sure but this STILL doesn’t explain why we have souls put into our body’s at a certain point, and some are never put inside (dead fetus). The simulation argument doesn’t work when speaking about souls and their ability to be put inside a body (since we do not have an control over it or knowledge of it)
