If there was at some point when the universe didn't exist, and the universe came to existence with time, then that means time already existed before for a period of different state which debunks the theory of either time, matter and space came into existence the same time leading to the law of cause and effect meaning the was something existing outside of time that cause the universe to exist.

The most accurate way to describe why existence and consciousness thrives is assuming there's much we don't know. There're things we'll never know,realities we can't comprehend etc...Maybe,time doesn't matter. Maybe, our theories make sense mathematically, but entail other fundamental things we'll never know about. The way we rationalise things could also be a limitation. We only look at things with our logic as we know it and ignore the infinite possibilities that an indifferent principle could actually be the truth. An ant doesn't know what intelligence is,neither can it comprehend bluetooth or how we humans live. An ant isn't aware of our existence from a conscious perspective and lives based on survival and instincts. That could also be our case, only that we don't like admitting it since we believe our rational minds are the peak limit of everything possible.
