I guess this is my quiet goodbye. For two years, I stayed. I waited without even realizing how much of myself I was giving to a feeling that was never really mine to hold. I watched you, cared about you, and hoped in small, silent ways that maybe one day things would be different. But now we’re here. Graduation is close, and soon everything will change. Different schools, different rooms, different lives. And somehow, without anything dramatic happening, this story just… ends. No confession. No closure. Just distance. They say waiting drives you crazy, and maybe it’s true. Because I kept holding on to something that was never promised to me. I kept choosing someone who was never going to choose me. And yet, I don’t regret it. Because in those two years, I learned what it means to care deeply. I learned how it feels to love quietly, to support someone from a distance, and to carry emotions I couldn’t always show. You were never mine, and maybe you never will be. But you were still someone important to me. Someone who unknowingly taught me something about myself. So this is me letting go. Not because I suddenly stopped caring, but because life is moving forward, and I have to move with it. Goodbye—my almost, my what-if, my love that never really had the chance to be. And maybe somewhere in another life, in another version of this story, things would be different.
But for now, this is where I close this chapter.
