Her final message was a simple goodbye: “I love you, Mama. Goodnight.” Minutes later, her cellphone was turned off. Investigators later discovered that there was still data activity connected to her phone account that night, but neither the device nor her belongings have ever been recovered. When investigators examined the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, they found several unusual details. Kylie’s jacket was discovered in the driveway outside the family home, while her phone later showed a last known location approximately 300 feet south of the residence. Authorities believe she may have left on her own, but the reason she left and where she went afterward remain unknown. Before she disappeared, Kylie had reportedly taken several personal items with her, including an Xbox and a suitcase decorated with skulls that she had recently purchased from a local thrift store. A possible sighting was later reported on May 31, 2025, at a rest area near Perry, Utah. A witness reported seeing a girl matching Kylie’s description wearing a long black wig, a beanie, black clothing, and carrying the skull-patterned suitcase. The witness also reported that an unidentified Hispanic man approached her. However, investigators have not confirmed that the person seen was Kylie. Kylie is considered an at-risk missing juvenile due to personal and mental health challenges she had been experiencing before her disappearance. Investigators have followed numerous tips and reported sightings, but none have led to finding Kylie or determining what happened after she left home. Today, Kylie Olivia Arellano remains missing. Investigators know the last message she sent to her mother. They know some of the belongings she may have taken with her.
