@eastern.christians: Lebanon has just installed one of the largest statues of Jesus the Redeemer in the Middle East, on Jabal al-Salib in the town of Al Qaa, in the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, overlooking the Bekaa plain. Seen as a symbol of faith and hope, the monument has quickly drawn attention as a spiritual and cultural landmark for the area. Residents and local sources describe it as a visible expression of Christian presence and deep attachment to the land in one of Lebanon’s most symbolic border towns. The wider religious site is still under construction. Recent coverage says the project has reached a major new stage, while the church remains under construction.
