Literally my husband 😆! I’m a RN and made him a PRN template to avoid half the calls. Also trying to explain that they are required to call you. If you don’t like it change to protocol! His nurses love me!😏

The one and only time I called my hubbys ortho after surgery was when I noticed my hubbys home nurse didn’t change his bandage correctly after a triple arthrodesis. I’m a chiropractor myself and I knew something was wrong (I had just had shoulder surgery so couldn’t care for him myself). I went over and unwrapped his foot noticed a cheese type smell and his skin look wet and macerated. I immediately called them up and they said get here now. Got him to the doc office they took one look and said get him to the hospital and get him admitted…not ER but straight to admissions. He was in a room within an hour and in surgery within a couple of hours due to infection that thankfully hadn’t reached bone yet. He had a PICC line for like 3 months after cause there were 3 different types of infection that had setup during to improper cleaning and dressings. I took over his foot care. Ortho told me nice catch for a chiro lol.

😂 Got my neurosurgeon pulled over once for not being hands free while driving! I said don’t put that on me 💀 He said I told the cop I was late for brain surgery and my nurse was calling asking where I was 😭 so you told him the truth ok
