I disagree! I use pips to support the team, identify areas for improvement with clear training and guidelines to help them achieve it!

Whenever I want to quit a job, I just underperform, do my own shit during work time, get paid for not working for up to a year, then get put on a PIP for a few more months, then get a nice severance payout. Usually end up with about two years of pay for doing fuck all. 🤣 Meanwhile I've been working for another company as a freelancer. 🤪

Isn’t the purpose of a PIP to rectify the problem which has to be achievable, measurable, and supported? If it’s a way to manage someone out that’s a sham and an ACAS constructive dismissal case.

Nonsense - I am the head of my department and had a couple of employees go through a PIP and we managed to get their performance up and they’re still with us and doing well.

A company I worked for used PIPS to reduce their redundancy bill. When Management knew a redundancy was coming, they kept quiet about it. Then they deliberately put staff on PIPs to shatter their confidence and to put pressure on them to leave. This meant they had less redundancy to pay.

I got put in a pip, it was political and really unfair. But 18 months later I’m still there and got 100% in my last performance review and a 5k bonus.

I got on a pip in my last job and I wish I’d had quit earlier I told my manager how I didn’t see at all how I was in any way worse than my other coworkers doing the same thing I swear they just wanted me out I did quit in the end though it was a constant you’ve improved or wait no you haven’t

I cant stand it when management come to me saying, I want to put X on a PIP! My response is always with 10 questions lol. After management and me have that chat, there's no PIP given.

I worked at a company put the whole team on a PIP. We discussed and agreed the pip items, then worked together solely only on the items in the pip. Everything else got left, if it’s not in the Pip, don’t do it. So they changed the Pip, same again, the main job wasn’t being done, after 2 weeks they gave in and went back to doing a great job and smashing out the park. The leader was told to work from home and leave us alone 😂😂😂

Got blinded sighted and received a 2 rating at the end of the year with no increase in pay. BIG surprised after never being told I’ve been going in that direction and also now being told I’m on a PIP.
