@holixtic: I read that and had to pause. Because for so long, I thought being a good mother meant being selfless. Tired. Last to eat. Last to rest. Last to move. But what if the greatest gift I can give my daughter is not sacrifice…but aliveness? Empowerment? Acceptance? What if she doesn’t need a perfect mother? What if she needs a mother who feels alive? Who’s messy, and full spectrum? When I feel strong in my body, she sees that. When I move without shame, she learns that. When I choose myself she feels that. When I dance without caring who’s watching, she absorbs that. She dances too. Our nervous systems talk to each other. Our daughters feel what we feel. If I’m disconnected, bracing, numbing… she feels that too. If I’m grounded, playful, embodied… she feels that. It was never just about me. It’s about showing her that her body is a home — not a problem. Because she’s watching. And I want her to grow up knowing her body is not something to fight or fix. It’s something to live in. Fully. And that she gets to feel alive in it. Always. #motherhoodunfiltered #yogamamas
