30 year attorney here. I promise you AI is just a tool, which I like, but it cannot replace my analysis, intuition, instinct, and experience. I also make way more than plumbers. It’s very rare that I can “regurgitate” work from other cases or contracts. It doesn’t work that way.

Incorrect. Lots of industries won’t be around so they will move into trades. Kids from school won’t want admin jobs. They will want plumbing jobs.

A lawyer is assuming risk to be correct. Why would ai companies assume that risk for a software that makes errors? People will always trust lawyers, because if they are incorrect the risk is on them

Entry level law jobs, research, paralegal/junior solicitor jobs will be affected. A lot of law firms already using AI. But experienced/higher level Law jobs are still safe for at least 10 years. Claude is very capable but it cant fight your case in a court.

If all this plays out it will be like a recession. People won’t have the money to pay plumbers etc plus there will be an influx of trades also bringing the prices down. Similar to 2008
