@thatcatladyjen: I interrupt my regularly scheduled cat content for this PSA regarding Free Range Chickens vs Commercially raised chicken eggs. Yolk color, texture, taste is different. Nutrient content is the SAME. But what’s not the same is the health/care/well being of the animal producing the eggs. The difference in yolk color is strictly diet related, the darker yellow means the chicken has a broad diet mostly from foraging. The pale yellow is a wheat/corn diet which typically means the animal is kept in a pasture or coop with no access to grass/bugs/fruits/veggies etc #homestead #eggs #chickens #fyp #foryoupage
