It's not that I'm worried something is wrong, it's the feeling of falling that makes my stomach drop and then I go into full blown panic. I hate the feeling so much.

Years ago I sat next to a pilot who was a passenger on his way back home. When we were chatting he compared turbulence to like driving down a bumpy gravel road. Ever since then I’ve been able to endure most turbulence that I’ve experienced!

A pilot friend of mine told me...when you fly through turbulence and you are nervous...close your eyes and visualize yourself driving over a bumpy road...some more bumpy than others. That is the equivalent of what is actually happening. Like cars don't fall apart while on that bumpy road, planes don't fall apart on a bumpy road either. It made me feel much better! 🤔

My friends grandpa once told me if I was ever scared bc of turbulence, look at the flight staff. If they’re scared, then something’s wrong. If they’re calm, then it’s no big deal. That’s helped me so much
