@isabelgrigori: We’ve been feeling so nostalgic about the ’90s and early 2000s, but we’re overlooking how profoundly the deployment of AI is changing our lives and, along with them, the art that once helped us make sense of this human experience. I have always been a supporter of texhnological progress, so I won’t demonize AI or claim that the past was better. AI integration seems inevitable, and those who refuse to evolve risk being left behind by those who learn to grow with it. But as we live through this technological revolution—one that may soon make creating music more efficient and, perhaps, even “crack the code” of what it takes to make a generation’s anthem—can we take a moment to celebrate the artists who did it without the help of AI? And as someone completely obsessed with live music, I can’t help but think that the stage will remain the one place where the difference will always be visible. Concert venues reveal who truly has what it takes to stand in front of thousands and perform for the world. I can’t imagine a concert without the artist and the human connection.
