@uncover.robotics: Researchers in China tested a swarm of 10 fully autonomous drones capable of flying through a dense bamboo forest without GPS or human control. The drones relied on onboard sensors, real-time mapping, and AI decision systems to detect obstacles and navigate complex terrain at high speed. The experiment demonstrated how autonomous flight systems can operate in environments where satellite navigation signals are weak or unavailable. Developers say the technology could be used for search and rescue missions, environmental monitoring, and future defense applications.

ya, 99% of the reasoning for this is defense spending. granted, some of the biggest technological breakthroughs were due to defense spending research. but they wholeheartedly intend to use this in war

Everyone not seeing how good this will be for archeological finds are silly. Yeah of course it'll ALSO be militarized. Stop pretending like we don't pay taxes for the same Military to Peasant structure for tech. lol

@Bish Veritas is incognito Looks like they will be able to fly easily through the trees, but I’m sure the batteries won’t last too long, their launch area will have to be close.
