As a fat…my bloodwork is perfect. I’m not healthy. If I weighed less my knees wouldn’t hurt as much, I would sleep better…I think often times people focus only on bloodwork or not having a “weight-related” illness. Clear bloodwork isn’t the only factor we need to look at when it comes to health.

Weight cycling is a problem, but no one is actually pushing that. If you change your lifestyle properly your weight will never cycle and you’ll be healthy.

yeah I was 'in perfect health' obese. great blood pressure, phenomenal stamina (thanks farm work!), perfect bloodwork, no aches or pains, slept and ate well. went like that happily for 10yrs, gained a lot more and got bad, finally lost it all. and when i lost it all I realised the 'perfect health' i had been experiencing that whole 10yrs was not, in fact, perfect health.

and even if you are healthy in the moment, that does not mean u aren’t RISKING being more unhealthy than you would be if you’re working out and eating right. That doesn’t mean eating only salad, that means eating foods that properly fuel ur body.

I’ve gone from 215 pound to 155 with running and a healthier diet. Staying 155 is harder than getting there once my body got used to the exercise - so I do get why some yo-yo, it’s tough - But the benefits are so worth it, even to the point I no longer need my anti anxiety medication. If I can do it anyone can, people just need to find the path that works for them. Don’t get me wrong body positivity is great, but it needs to be coupled in with health rather than instead of

As someone who has lost and gained your body does have a set point where it will stop around yes there is a point that if you get below that it will try to bring you back to it but if you are working with a medical professional who knows you and your body health genetics etc that shouldn’t be an issue
