Yeah. They know corporate applicants are a flight risk lol and there are a ton of applicants to choose from in service, retail, etc who actually have deep experience in those roles. “Overqualified. Next.”

I would go to my local bar and cry to the bartenders about being unemployed, weekly. Like 2-3 times a week. The GM thought I was so ridiculous she hired me as a server….. so yeah I would say go that route.
