I’ve been taking Clomipramine for 1.5 years and it’s been life changing. There are some unpleasant side effects but for me the relief outweighs them, though my doctor and I keep an eye on them in case that changes

Luvox. New insurance won’t cover the ER so I’m on IR and it makes me so sleepy but it works. ER did not make me sleepy.

ADHD meds gave my then 11yo OCD. Within hours it started and still battling it 2 years later. OCD is a nightmare. Drs said it would go away…it has not.🥺

For me, my ocd bell curve of panic doesn’t have very high highs. It’s just consistent, because my fundamental issue was my brain always returning to anxious thoughts even when I did exposures. SSRIs dulled the most intense moments, but the breakthrough was in treating adhd, with Wellbutrin and Vyvanse. It’s not necessarily the traditional solution, but I think my case was a bit exceptional. I had no clue untreated adhd could make ocd more “sticky”. Hopefully more studying can be done on subsets of patients like myself.
