While this is good advice in general, hemochromatosis is GENETIC and requires a hematologist and monitoring. The stress on the heart, pancreas, liver, joints and endocrine glands is life threatening long term when not managed. Hematologists also rule out other blood disorders associated with hemochromatosis. While patients can benefit from an ND, they require a hematologist. Scope of practice applies here.

My ferritin is 7 but high iron. I have regular periods monthly but I do have heavy flow the first 4 days then it slows down. Wondering how to resolve? Also trying to conceive

Hi Dr. Ross, I'm a follower. Could you address what to do about fluoroquinolone toxicity? I've been floxed badly and my hmta results show severely low mineral levels. FQs are known to chelate to minerals and probably explains the severely low mineral levels, including very low iron.

IP-6 lowers high ferritin levels. Blood donations is not necessary.

Yea even I need to be off of birth control due to the condition I am NOT coming off of it. I bleed to much plus the cramps is way to bad
