When the lakes were created, entire towns and cemeteries were flooded, and today there are still hundreds of graveyards in the forest. One visitor said he heard a man screaming “help me” from the lake, but no one was there. Later that night, someone banged on his cabin door with the same voice, yet when he opened it—no one was outside. Locals also talk about a creature called the LBL Beast, described as a dog-like humanoid with glowing red eyes that stalks the woods at night. I used to live about 35 minutes away from thst the very few times I went to camp it was definitely an odd vibe from what im assuming was ghosts and I never went back after the last one.
