its been so much info decay, its been an upstream push but not like this. im observing from most platforms, my bsky is about as close as i can get to discerning real time news, but with everyone collectively burdened, quick or reliable distribution is effected there too.

All of our places for information in the US is controlled by people who’s number one concern is money and number two is sucking up to this Administration it’s so frustrating. I personally start with Democracy Now everyday and then is them to look further into topics on other sites (not based in the US). For state and local news thought I’m lost for where to look.

Ive personally freaked out about this. Its so incredibly difficult to find basic information now and the replacement for news is so many tiktok/substack influencers who have no training and frequently spread misinformation (probably disinformation too)
