Today I decided to try aloe vera because I’ve been thinking about slowly ending our breastfeeding journey. I applied it and honestly I didn’t know what to expect. I thought maybe she would come immediately, taste it, and react. But surprisingly… she hasn’t come yet. Now I’m just here waiting and thinking about how fast time has gone. Breastfeeding has been such a big part of our lives since the day she was born. It was our comfort, our bonding time, and sometimes the only thing that could calm her down or help her sleep. So sitting here waiting feels a little emotional. Part of me is curious to see her reaction when she finally comes, and another part of me is realizing that we might actually be reaching the end of this chapter. Motherhood really comes with these small moments that feel bigger than we expect. For now, the aloe vera is there… and we are both in this silent waiting game. I’m wondering if she will come, taste it, and decide she’s done… or if she will just look at me like “Mom, what is this?” Either way, this breastfeeding journey has been beautiful, exhausting, emotional, and full of love. Every mom knows that these little milestones are not always easy, but they show how much our babies are growing.
