I have the same questions, spent half of my life with someone who hated me and now I don’t ever want to lift a finger for another man again. But I’m working on it still, trust may never come back but I’m trying.

I, myself, don't believe I could ever completely give my heart to someone again. It pains me knowing that. But, the world has changed so much - "love" is now transactional - it's no longer about who you are as a person. So, I suppose it all works out - I'm no longer emotionally available, and I'm not financially desirable. So.... win/win?

I've been married three times, im not gonna claim that everything was their fault. I gave my all and expected the same in return. I was cheated on and when I found out it destroyed my heart. I still believe in love but im just being more cautious and listening to my gut more.
