In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until well combined. 2. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla, then mix until smooth. 3. Add the flour, salt, and baking soda. Gently fold until just combined. 4. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed. Do not overmix. (If the dough is too soft, chill it for about 30 minutes.) 5. Prepare an 8-inch pan. Press about 70% of the dough evenly into the bottom. 6. Spread the Nutella evenly over the dough. Flatten the remaining dough and place it on top to cover, sealing the edges. 7. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top. Bake in a preheated 170°C (340°F) oven for 35–40 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft and golden. 8.
