I’m in WA and agree with pretty much all, I wouldn’t say fruit & veg is better quality than I got in Scotland. Eating out here is definitely more than in Scotland, perhaps I notice it more as we only get chance on Sundays an public holidays so always a surcharge

My friend had 2 kids in daycare in Sydney and it was 74k for the year and that was las year. So ya, even with citizen benefits it ain’t cheap and the more you earn the less subsidies you get.

I lived in ballina NSW for 3 years and I miss living there so much. Everything was so much brighter, happier and definitely cheaper. I wish it could be permanent 🥹

comparing UK to Aus is a waste of time. You need to compare the costs as a % of your income. One thing Australia does not have is Council Tax. It has rates but they are paid by the homeowner

Almost everyone in WA charges surcharge for paying by card but won’t take cash. We don’t have that in UK (yet). Also hairdressers!!! Cost a bloody fortune in WA for a decent one
