@belovedcabin: Some people say our home is redneck engineering… and they’re probably right. We turned a simple shed into a house using salvaged materials, Facebook Marketplace finds, and a lot of figuring things out as we went. Natural light is a big deal when you live off-grid. It lifts your mood and saves your solar. Clear roof panels in the kitchen and glass doors we found on Facebook Marketplace work like a charm. The plants love it. The pets love it too. And yes… sometimes they nap on the kitchen table. Go ahead, judge me. 😆 We also placed doors and windows across from each other so we get a really nice cross breeze in the summer. Free light. Free air. Off-grid luxury… courtesy of some redneck engineering. And if you’re curious how all this actually works, that’s exactly the kind of stuff we break down in our off-grid workshops.
