@happydoggoniall: Apollo is the reason why not every street dog can be rehomed. When we rescued him for his cancer treatment, we thought we were saving him. But after weeks of progress, he did the unthinkable: he escaped his harness and vanished. We searched for 14 days until we got the call… Apollo had walked 15km back home. He navigated traffic and jungle just to get back to his "spot," his pack, and the kind guardian who feeds him. He is back with us now, terrified and shaking, but only until he is healed. We’ve learned that his "home" is and will always be the streets. I don't believe shelter is for every dog. The streets are not an ideal homes. However some dogs have an ok life. as long as they have someone who feeds them and gives them vet care. Unfortunately I see too many dogs who can handle the shelter life. You are amazing for what you're doing for the dogs 🙏💛
