I feel your pain. My 13 pound shihtzu refuses to do things like that sometimes and i get so frustrated but luckily i can just pick her up, whereas it’s not so easy to just pick up a saint bernard

This is a training issue not a breed issue, i’d recommend doing the lesson with a trainer in your area, we have all sorts of tricks up our sleeve
