Shortly after the abduction, Angel tragically fell from the back of a moving van traveling at nearly 60 mph. The fall caused catastrophic skull and brain injuries, leaving her unable to walk, talk, or care for herself. She now requires round-the-clock care. Bowskill was later arrested and sentenced to prison for kidnapping and related offenses, while Angel's family continues to fight for justice and support for her recovery.
