@sustainablefashionfriend: The factory behind Parke’s Mocknecks and many of their “cozy” collection. These are also the items that probably sell the most from Parke (and many which can’t be returned 😅) Laite calls themselves a “one stop shop” which handles everything from sourcing fabrics to packing your finished product into branded zip bags in to cartons to ship. This type of model is common in DTC brands. While Parke used to imply that they were “better than the fast fashion basics”, they eliminated that claim from their “Story” page, which makes sense considering their supplier claims to make over 1 million garments per year in video and 3 million+ on their Alibaba page. All of that with an entire staff of 200 people….meaning their production team is less than that….which seems like entirely fast fashion numbers. Their marketing also places a lot of emphasis on speed. The factory doesn’t make any claim of a living wage, work hours etc and neither does Parke.
