THIS is a perfect example of how if it works for your family than do it. I feel like we are so guilt tripped into everything a perfect way based on facts and stats. Like listen, do what works and you know your kids and family flow best.

Okay I’ve never heard anyone else do this. My kids sometimes eat something different and nobody’s ever hungry at the same time. We homeschool and have a small business so everything is our schedule and we’re always together so dinners together aren’t always a major priority for us.

Mom of 4. We do a variation of this. My kids eat when they’re ready to eat because in the evenings when they’re out running around playing I don’t want to stop that.

Honestly I love this! In our house growing up we only sat down to eat together on Sunday nights, every other night of the week was kind of like what you do! Supper was always done and finished by 5 ish normally ❤️

Same! I got tired of the snack fight and started feeding dinner at 4:30pm 😅 Then they can run around outside until they’re tired and I don’t have to stop them in the middle of the neighborhood game of tag just to fight over dinner.
