I don’t think it’s fair that cops merely state they smell something and have carte Blanche to search. As well as threaten civilians. Just so wrong.

I don’t know why they ask for a marijuana card when it’s still illegal to smoke in the car (smell it and it’s probable cause to search) and while driving (it’s like an open container) and it’s still suppose to be sealed in the original package. I also love the way everyone thinks they know the law and ‘unfair’. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The fact that a smell gives cops probable cause is absolutely BS, there is zero proof they aren’t lying. Every cop can just say “oh I smell weed” and you have no recourse to refute them

I don’t think any cop should have the right to search a vehicle based on “I smell something” It’s nothing more than a cop looking for something more when the initial stop was for a headlight. That’s why they’re asking where they’re going and where they’re coming from because they want to build a case against you. It’s complete bs to give them the right to search a car based upon a “smell”
